Just this small page to present myself. It is not my purpose to tell you all about my life, I just propose a few words on a couple of topics that I hope are going to interest all of you (some more topics will be added to this short list later):

PREVIOUS TRAVELS: Travelling has always been important to me; discover other countries, landscapes, and most of all, other cultures and people. I'll try to summarize here some of the lands I visited.... (after this "whereonearth" trip, 58 different countries!!!) I also want to show you some pictures I brought back from my travels.....

FIRST TRAVELS: 0-12 YEARS OLD
Started very young moving: first of all, I was not born in BELGIUM, but in Versailles, FRANCE. It was a good start I must say, but not very exotic. After two years in France, followed my parents back to Belgium where we lived for 4 years, and then...... moved to SAUDI ARABIA where we lived during 6 years: from 6 to 12 years old.... Spent a great time there!!! During this period, went with the parents (and my brother) to some quite interesting and exotic destinations (for holiday): I recall having been to EGYPT, JORDAN, PAKISTAN ( holiday?? perhaps it was only on transit), INDIA (Bombay and Goa), SRI LANKA, THAILAND, SINGAPORE, CYPRUS, ITALY, TURKEY... FRANCE and BELGIUM.
Not bad for a start... thanks to the parents: cool.
HOLIDAYS: 12-31 YEARS OLD
At 12, back to BELGIUM, and Brussels for some years.... after school, the university, and most of my holidays were spent abroad, i.e.:
FRANCE (been lots of times in France: it was close to Belgium, they speak the same language, and most of all, France is really beautiful (and has good wine, but this, all know). Probably went there more than 20 times, and still have lots of places to discover
ITALY: 1987-1990, been there 3-4 times, Roma, Firenze, .... one of my best mates' parents lived there for a while (if they read this, thanks again!). Still got to bring Cornelia there. Fantastic country.
TURKEY: 1989, spent two weeks there with school ...
GREECE: 1996, last year of university, on an educational trip (not really a holiday).
AUSTRIA, SLOVAKIA, HUNGARY: 1992, on a 500 km bike trip from Vienna to Budapest, along the Danube.
CITY TRIPS: couple of times in LONDON, once in PRAGUE, AMSTERDAM
MADAGASCAR: 1995, Fantastic, one of my best travel souvenirs ever. Went there with two good friends, Jean-Marie and Lalaina, himself from Madagascar.... so we had the chance to visit his family there and it was really "authentic". Went into the village of his grandfather: very small village in the "Hauts Plateaux" center of Madagascar, where kids had never seen white people before.
WORK: 24-31 YEARS OLD
Went lots of times abroad for my job.... in short, some of the destinations were: Norway, Iran, Egypt, Turkmenistan, India, Algeria, Australia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Congo, Angola, etc...
